WELCOME TO YOUR WHITECAP BEACH GETAWAY Welcome to Pathways to the Sea! We’re delighted to host you in our beautifully updated, three-story home on North Padre Island. With four bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms and room for up to 12 guests, there’s space to settle in and enjoy island time. Whitecap Beach is approximately 200 yards away. Whether you’re here for beach days, fishing or relaxing by the pool, we hope you feel right at home. Scan QR code in property for access to your island trip guide. Report any arrival concerns promptly so we can help. ARRIVAL & PARKING Your entry instructions will be provided before arrival. Please keep your access code private and confirm the door is locked whenever you leave. Park only in unmarked spaces. Do not block garages, driveways, neighboring spaces or community access. No RVs, boats, or trailers. Please lock vehicles and secure valuables when unattended. Early check-in and late check-out require advance approval. WI-FI Network: Whitecap Password: Freepiano0531! CLIMATE CONTROL Keep exterior doors and windows closed while the air conditioning is running. This helps the home stay comfortable in the coastal heat and humidity. Build up of humidity inside the unit can cause the smoke detectors to alarm when they sense the thick humid air flow. Thermostat location and instructions: 1st and 2nd floor thermostat is located on the wall across from the kitchen. The 3rd floor thermostat is located in the primary bedroom. The thermostat temperature range is 70 to 78 F. KITCHEN & DINING The kitchen includes a refrigerator, range, microwave, dishwasher, duel pot and pod coffee maker, large island and breakfast bar. Please use cookware appropriate for each appliance, wipe up spills promptly and avoid placing hot cookware directly on countertops. Dispose of grease and food scraps in the trash rather than down the drain. Use dishwasher detergent only in the dishwasher. OUTDOOR COOKING AND DINING Outdoor cooking location and instructions: 2 gas grills located in the pavilion in the common area Use cooking equipment only in designated, permitted areas. No charcoal grills allowed. Gas grill provided in the pavilion area near the pool. Never leave it unattended, keep children clear of hot surfaces and turn everything off after use. Please clean up when finished. Equipment is first come first serve. Please be respectful of other guests. Parties and events are prohibited. POOL Enjoy the community pool and follow all posted rules and operating hours. • Pool access instructions: Pool is gated with child proof gate locks. • Pool hours: 8:00 AM - 10:00 PM • No lifeguard is on site. • Children must be supervised by an adult. • No glass is allowed in the pool area. • Use designated beach or pool towels outdoors. BEACH DAYS, SAND & TAR Whitecap Beach is approximately 200 yards from the home. Please check local conditions and beach warning flags before entering the Gulf. Before coming inside, rinse off sand and check feet, shoes and beach gear for tar. Remove all tar before entering the home, especially before using showers, tubs, beds or upholstered furniture. Beach tar can leave stubborn stains on fabrics and surfaces. An additional $65 cleaning fee applies when tar removal is required. Keep sandy equipment outside in permitted areas, and use designated beach or pool towels outdoors. LAUNDRY An in-unit washer and dryer are available for your use. Shake sand out of clothing and towels before washing. Do not place tar-stained items in either machine; contact us for assistance. Avoid overloading the machines and clean the dryer lint screen before each use. Leave the dryer door open when not in use due to the coastal humidity entering the dryer vent and trapping moisture inside the dryer. Laundry supplies and operating instructions: There will be some laundry pods provided to get you started. Please only use 1 pod per load of laundry. The washer and dryer are one unit. The control panel is located between the washer and dryer. TRASH Trash disposal location: Community dumpster is located at the beach end of the parking lot. Please do not leave trash outside of the dumpster. Only household trash is to be disposed of in the dumpster. There is no recycling service. Please bag household trash and place it in the designated containers. Do not leave trash outside the entry or in common areas. HOUSE RULES • Maximum occupancy is 12 guests. Only registered guests may stay overnight. Additional visitors require prior approval. • The primary guest must be at least 25 and remain at the property throughout the reservation. No third-party bookings. • Parties and events are prohibited. • Quiet hours are 10:00 PM–8:00 AM, or stricter community-posted hours. Keep music and conversation considerate, especially outdoors. • Smoking and vaping are prohibited inside the home. Dispose of smoking materials safely and never leave them on the grounds. • Pets are prohibited, including visiting pets. Service animals are accommodated as required by applicable law and booking-platform policies. • Keep furniture indoors and in its original location. • Flush toilet paper only. Do not flush wipes, including products labeled “flushable,” or other hygiene products. • Report damage, spills or maintenance issues promptly. SAFETY & ASSISTANCE This home spans three stories. Please supervise children around stairs and the pool. Keep exits clear and do not tamper with smoke detectors or other safety equipment. Check current hours, access conditions and any reservation or permit requirements before heading out. CHECKOUT CHECKLIST Please complete checkout by 10:00 AM. Before leaving: • Place trash in the designated containers. • Load and start the dishwasher. • Load used towels into the washing machine and start a wash cycle. Do not overload it; leave any remaining towels together. • Strip used beds and pile the bed linens together. Leave mattress protectors in place. • Turn off cooking equipment. • Check closets, drawers and outlets for personal belongings. • Lock all doors.
